Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY, is seeking a Failure Analysis Lab technician to perform analytical duties on 300mm fab processes. The role requires experience with sample preparation, imaging, and analytical techniques and a solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing.

This night shift position runs 7 PM–7 AM with a 12.5% shift differential. You will interact with lab engineers, maintain equipment, prepare TEM/SEM samples, and document results, contributing to continuous improvement and

Qualifications

• Education - 2 year technical/associate’s degree in science, math, engineering or related field
• Fluency in English (written & verbal)
• Able to perform 12-hour night shift work
• Follow lab safety and work procedures
• Follow detailed instructions and maintain documentation
• Multitask with strong attention to detail and timeliness

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical jobs using documented procedures
• Collaborate with lab engineers to define analytical methods
• Maintain analytical equipment and minimize downtime
• Prepare samples for TEM/SEM analyses
• Report results using standard software and documentation
