Bento Sushi in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to lead daily sanitation in a 24-hour production environment at California Food Factory. You will oversee sanitation staff, ensure SSOPs and FDA/state requirements, and maintain audit-ready records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of sanitation experience in food manufacturing or a regulated production environment.
• Working knowledge of sanitation chemicals, dilution procedures, and chemical titration.
• Familiarity with SSOPs, GMPs, and food safety practices.
• Ability to follow written procedures, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Basic English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Basic mathematics skills for chemical measurement and documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and perform physical sanitation tasks as required.
• WHMIS certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise sanitation staff to ensure cleaning per SSOPs and safety protocols.
• Oversee 24-hour sanitation operations across all shifts for consistency and compliance.
• Conduct routine inspections and verification checks for food safety standards.
• Train, mentor, and coach sanitation team members on procedures, chemical handling, equipment sanitation, and safety.
• Promote sanitation best practices and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Provide performance feedback and support staff development.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, California health standards, and internal policies.
• Maintain Master Sanitation Schedule, verification records, and daily logs.
• Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and food safety initiatives.
• Ensure inventory and availability of sanitation chemicals and supplies.
• Monitor use, storage, and titration of sanitation chemicals for safety and effectiveness.
• Maintain communication with QA, Production, and Maintenance to address issues and actions.
• Identify sanitation risks or process improvements and elevate to management.
• Promote safe work practices and proper PPE usage.
• Ensure staff compliance with workplace safety procedures.
