Job description

The Safety and Health Coordinator is responsible for implementing programs and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to the safety and health of plant associates.

Job Description:
  1. Assist in establishing goals for the Safety & Health program at the facility.
  2. Conduct audits to ensure compliance with Safety & Health regulations.
  3. Communicate effectively with management on Safety & Health issues.
  4. Conduct and develop training programs on Safety & Health.
  5. Conduct incident investigations and develop corrective actions for critical situations.
  6. Implement Safety & Health programs and conduct statistical analysis.
  7. Work with security guards to ensure facility security.
  8. Maintain flexibility to work 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management or related field.
  2. 2-5 years of experience preferred.
  3. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  4. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently.
  5. Good oral and written communication skills, able to communicate with all levels of employees.
  6. Computer literate; EMT certification or ability to obtain EMT license preferred.
