Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to perform arterial blood gases, pulmonary function tests and a variety of ventilator and therapy procedures for adults and neonates. You will work under indirect supervision and be responsible for respiratory assessment and treatment across age groups.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 1 year of hire.
• Licensed in good standing as Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, and ventilation support.
• Reports arterial blood gases, pulse oximetry, PFTs and ECGs.
• Prepares treatment evaluations with bedside assessment and chart review.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data and uses critical thinking for actions.
• Maintains and troubleshoots cardiopulmonary equipment and infection control.
• Participates in safety, quality assurance and patient satisfaction initiatives.
