Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the night shift (7pm-7am), Monday through Friday with rotating weekends. The role supports adult and neonatal care, performing ABG, PFT, and ventilator management in a 46-bed acute care setting.

Requirements include an accredited Respiratory Care Program graduate, Texas license, NBRC registration, and BLS/ACLS with NRP/PALS within 12 months. NICU experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• NRP and PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• At least 6 months of respiratory care experience; NICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapies including oxygen administration and weaning.
• Ventilator support, aerosol, humidity therapy, and airway maintenance.
• Arterial blood gas, pulse oximetry, PFTs, and ECG as prescribed.
• Bedside assessment, treatment evaluation, and chart review.
• Operate and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment; ensure safety.
