Job summary

EBA Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector for a roadway infrastructure reconstruction project in Washington, DC.

The role focuses on field inspection and documentation across MOT, paving, curb and gutter, PCC concrete, and streetlighting, in coordination with DDOT and utilities. Applicants should have 5+ years in field inspection, strong report writing, and the ability to work night shifts (8:00 PM–8:00 AM).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction inspection experience, preferably roadway or heavy civil.
• Experience coordinating with contractors in active field environments.
• Experience preparing inspection reports and maintaining project documentation.
• Experience with quality assurance and materials testing reporting."
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of roadway and infrastructure construction for DDOT compliance.
• Inspect MOT implementation and monitor traffic control measures.
• Inspect HMA paving, curb and gutter, sidewalks, PCC concrete.
• Monitor trenching, backfilling, restoration, and water utilities.
• Coordinate daily field activities with contractors, DDOT, utilities and project staff.
• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports with quantities, materials, and conditions.
• Review contractor work for conformance with approved plans and specs.
• Monitor QA materials testing and review testing reports.
