Job summary

EBA Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector for a roadway reconstruction project in Washington, DC.

The role focuses on field inspection, documentation, and coordination with contractors, project personnel, and DDOT representatives to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. The ideal candidate has extensive roadway inspection experience, strong reporting skills, and the ability to work night shifts from approximately 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction inspection experience in roadway/heavy civil projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of coordinating with contractors and DDOT.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections for compliance with plans, specs, and DDOT requirements.
• Inspect MOT implementation and monitor traffic control measures during construction.
• Inspect paving (HMA), PCC concrete, curb, gutter, sidewalks, and utilities.
• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports with quantities, materials, and site conditions.
• Review contractor work for conformance and document deficiencies and test results.
• Maintain accurate field records, photos, and project documentation.
