Job summary

HCA HealthOne is seeking a Registered Nurse Coordinator to manage patient transfers across markets. The role requires strong nursing knowledge, teamwork, and cross-department collaboration to ensure safe bed placement and efficient throughput.

Responsibilities include coordinating emergent and elective transfers, maintaining patient data, and supporting bed management while upholding EMTALA and quality standards. Night shift, 12-hour shifts, and rotating weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required; RN license in applicable states.
• Minimum of 3 years’ acute care clinical experience (ED/CC preferred).
• Knowledge of hospital operations, patient care, EMTALA awareness.
• Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transfer center functions for centralized patient placement.
• Facilitate emergent, urgent, and elective transfers across facilities.
• Aid in bed management, ensure accurate patient data for plans of care.
• Communicate with referring facilities, physicians, and staff to improve throughput.
• Participate in bed management meetings and monitor regulatory compliance.
