Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking an RN Coordinator at Medical City Plano to manage patient transfers across markets, coordinating bed placement and flow with multiple departments.

The role emphasizes patient safety, data accuracy, and professional communication with facilities and physicians. The position requires a nursing degree, active RN license, and 3 years of acute care experience, with leadership collaboration and regulatory awareness including EMTALA.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license in states served by the division (multi-state license if Transfer Center covers more than one state).
• Knowledge of hospital and clinical operations and patient care practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transfer center functions to place patients promptly and efficiently.
• Facilitate patient movement by matching clinical needs to bed capacity and service capability.
• Collaborate with referring facilities, physicians and staff to optimize patient throughput and safety.
• Maintain accurate data in patient records and center workflow systems.
• Communicate professionally with facilities and physicians regarding transfers and bed placements.
• Participate in bed management meetings and monitor barriers to patient intake flow.
