Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to work 36 hours per week on the Night Shift at Christiana Hospital on the 3D Transitional Stepdown Unit. The TMU/3D team cares for acutely ill patients requiring varied levels of care, collaborating with respiratory therapy, pharmacists, physicians, and social workers to deliver patient-centered care.

BSN is required; ADN candidates are considered with a 3-year BSN completion commitment.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• ADN candidates considered with a 3-year BSN completion commitment.
• Minimum one year of experience required (acute or sub-acute preferred).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize critical thinking and clinical expertise to assess, plan, and deliver individualized care.
• Collaborate with nursing, social work, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, hospitalists and consultants.
• Care for acutely ill adults with respiratory focus, including ventilator management and trach care.
• Provide patient and family education and monitor for emergencies.
• Support transition of patients to appropriate levels of care and manage 3-4 patient assignments.
