Job summary

Christiana Care Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to work 36 hours per week on the Night Shift at Christiana Hospital on the 3D Transitional Stepdown Unit. The TMU/3D team delivers care for acutely ill patients with a respiratory focus, emphasizing ventilator management, wound care, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

The role requires BSN, with ADN candidates considered if they commit to a 3-year BSN completion plan. Minimum one year of experience and BLS are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver individualized care to adult patients with a respiratory focus.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including nursing, social work, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and physicians.
• Manage care for acutely ill patients, including ventilator care, trach care, suctioning, and wound care.
• Monitor patients closely and assist in transitions to appropriate levels of care.
• Support 3–4 patient assignments and provide education to patients and families.
