Job summary

Backus Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 7:00pm-7:30am shift on unit A4. The role covers general surgical to orthopedic, bariatric, GI and women’s health patients with a focus on patient-centered care.

Candidates should have a nursing degree, CT RN licensure, BLS on hire, and ACLS preferred. This is a high-rotation, weekend-involved night shift offering an opportunity to contribute to a leading healthcare network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• One year RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency at Backus Hospital.
• Current unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.
• Current BLS on hire.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patient problems, establish a plan of care, implement and evaluate care.
• Demonstrate clinical competence and nurse-patient relationship; coordinate care.
• Communicate effectively with departments, physicians and patients; manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
