Job summary

Backus Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 36-hour weekly night shift (7:00pm-7:30am) on a surgical unit. The role requires an RN license in Connecticut and BLS on hire, with ACLS preferred.

The unit handles post-op and orthopedic cases, with a focus on high-quality patient care and teamwork. Candidates should have a BSN preferred and at least 1 year of RN experience or completion of the Backus Nurse Residency program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• One (1) year RN experience and/or completion of Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program.
• Current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
• ACLS certification preferred.
