Job summary

Backus Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse for our A4 pre and post-op surgical unit. The 7:00pm-7:30am shift is 36 hours weekly with rotating holidays and every other weekend required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Nursing. BSN preferred.
• Current unrestricted license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical competence through the nursing process and development of a synergistic nurse-patient relationship.
• Assesses and identifies patient problems/needs, establishes a plan of care, implements and evaluates care provided to patients.
