Job summary

Eastern Health Group in Virginia is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee clinical and administrative nursing functions on assigned shifts in a skilled nursing facility. You will ensure high‑quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and efficient coordination of resident services with the care team.

The Nursing Supervisor leads RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, mentors staff, conducts rounds, supervises care plans, and ensures accurate EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• Current RN/LPN license in Virginia.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience in long-term care or geriatric setting.
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the delivery of nursing care to ensure it meets standards of quality, safety, and resident dignity.
• Conduct rounds to assess resident conditions and address concerns promptly.
• Coordinate and supervise implementation of resident care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate appropriate care and documentation.
• Supervise and support nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Ensure proper shift hand-offs, documentation, and communication between teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHRs).
• Assist in inspections, audits, and surveys (CMS/state health department).
