Job summary

Valley Health System in Virginia is seeking an RN in a leadership role to oversee patient care delivery in the absence of Nursing Directors. You will make rounds, collaborate with staff to resolve clinical and staffing issues, and ensure practice variations are documented and staff comply with HR policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Nursing required or BSN completed within 5 years of hire.
• RN license required.
• BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required.
• Licensure in Virginia or eligible to practice via Nurse Licensure Compact.
• AHA certifications must be current prior to orientation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care delivery in absence of Nursing Directors.
• Make rounds on nursing units and address staffing issues.
• Coach and mentor staff to improve outcomes.
• Advocate for patients and coordinate with support departments.
• Escalate issues up the chain to AOC and Nursing Leadership.
