Job summary

Washington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Chipley, FL is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to lead the night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am). You will oversee nursing staff, ensure quality resident care, and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations during the shift.

The role requires an active RN license, CPR/BLS, 4+ years in nursing, and at least 1 year in a nurse supervisor role, with strong knowledge of long-term care practices and collaboration with physicians, therapists,

Qualifications

• Must have an active RN license to practice.
• CPR/BLS certified.
• Minimum 4+ years of nursing experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting; minimum 1 year as a nurse supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff on night shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Oversee all nursing personnel during the night shift, including assignments, performance management and staff training.
• Oversee medications, IV infusions, catheter care, wound care and other clinical procedures following aseptic technique.
• Manage patient intake and discharge planning in coordination with case management and utilization review teams to optimize outcomes.
• Facilitate communication among physicians, therapists, social workers and staff to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
• Monitor clinical competencies to ensure accuracy and completeness for all staff.
• Oversee scheduling to maintain adequate staffing and quality care during shifts.
• Lead incident investigations related to patient safety or infection control breaches; implement corrective actions.
