Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN required; Maryland RN license or compact state license.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Minimum of three years of Acute Cardiac nursing experience.
• Preferred MSN and prior leadership or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical and operational leadership for the Acute Cardiac IMC Unit during assigned shift.
• Coordinates patient care delivery, staffing assignments, and daily workflow based on acuity and census.
• Supervises nursing and support staff, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and best practices.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
• Participates in development and implementation of patient care standards and evidence-based practices.
• Supports quality improvement, patient safety, and performance initiatives.
• Facilitates staff orientation, training, and professional development.
• Promotes a culture of service excellence and patient-centered care.
• Serves as a clinical resource and professional role model for staff.
