Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD, part of Trinity Health, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor (RNS) to provide clinical and operational leadership for the ICU.

The RNS will manage daily operations and patient flow, supervise both professional and non-professional staff, and coordinate staffing based on acuity.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state eligibility
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
• Minimum five (5) years of recent Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse experience
• Previous Charge Nurse experience required
• Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Master of Science in Nursing preferred
• Critical Care certification (CCRN)
• Previous experience in nursing supervision or unit-based leadership
• Knowledge of quality improvement and patient safety standards

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations and patient flow
• Provide direct supervision and support to professional and non-professional staff
• Assign and coordinate staff based on patient acuity and unit needs
• Promote compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and service excellence initiatives
• Participate in staff orientation, education, coaching, and performance management
• Act as a clinical role model, mentor, and resource for ICU staff
