Job summary

Trinity Health's St. Mary Medical Center in Bucks County seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the MG1 Step Down Unit on the 12 Hour Night Shift. You will deliver direct and/or indirect patient care using professional nursing skills and documentation.

The unit is tele-monitored with a 3:1-4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and private rooms in a ~26-bed unit. BSN required; PA RN license and BLS; comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• PA RN License required.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and barriers; incorporate education into care.
• Documents admission assessment, plan, interventions and medication use; monitor outcomes.
• Uses the information system to communicate patient changes and priorities care based on situation.
• Communicates transfer of responsibility at bedside and during rounds.
• Recognizes special needs and provides individualized care; knowledge of abuse recognition and referral.
• Includes pain management and supportive care in the plan of care.
• Adheres to infection control standards and maintains a safe environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
