St. Mary Medical Center in Bucks County, PA is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the MG1 Step Down unit. The role involves direct and indirect patient care, equipment handling, and ensuring patient safety during a 7pm-7:30am night shift.

Responsibilities include assisting with feeding, monitoring intake/output, specimen collection, and timely communication with the RN and care team. The unit operates with a 3:1-4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/Equivalent required.
• CNA registry or completed a nursing program rotation required.
• 1 year of relevant experience or EMT may substitute.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under RN instruction.
• Obtains supplies to prepare rooms for admission and clear upon discharge.
• Demonstrates feeding, dysphasia precautions, and intake/output recording.
• Collects specimens (urine, clean catch, foley, stools) as directed.
• Applies heat/cold packs, dressings, and assistive devices as needed.
• Participates in hourly rounding to ensure safety and comfort.
