Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, Arizona offers a full-time New Nurse Experience residency for new graduates. The program provides a collaborative learning environment to refine nursing skills and transition to a professional nurse, with clinical mentorship on the 4 North (4N) unit.

New grads will rotate through three 12-hour shifts, including weekends/holidays, with a structured training plan and hands-on experiences. BSN preferred; ADN considered at select locations and current BLS required.

Qualifications

• Recent graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current and valid RN license
• BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations
• Current BLS card (through either American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain certification before a start date
• No More than 12 months of RN experience
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Be clinically mentored by unit staff and educators.
• Rotate across shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Participate in orientation to the Cerner electronic medical health record system.
• Engage in competency and skills assessment and verification.
• Must live within a reasonable commute distance to the facility.
