Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Dubuque, IA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Rehab Unit on the 3rd shift. The role provides direct patient care on nights, coordinating with LPNs and aides while ensuring safe, evidence-based practice.

You will assess patients, develop and adjust care plans, monitor telemetry when needed, and communicate with physicians and families. An Iowa RN license and BLS are required; ACLS if telemetry is used; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license required.
• BLS required; ACLS required if unit has telemetry.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient assessments and identifies problems.
• Develops and implements plan of care.
• Performs and documents ongoing evaluations of patient outcomes.
• Trains and guides nursing staff on unit operations.
• Ensures accuracy of telemetry monitoring when applicable.
• Maintains safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
