Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Psychiatric Services unit on the 3rd shift (6:00 pm–6:30 am). This full-time role (0.9 FTE, 36 hours/week) focuses on safe, evidence-based care for acutely ill patients and supervising nursing staff.

The position requires an Associate degree in nursing; a BSN is preferred. Iowa RN licensure, BLS, and optional ACLS depending on telemetry are required. MercyOne offers competitive compensation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Critical thinking used to assess and plan patient care.
• Telemetry monitoring knowledge where applicable.
• Clear communication with physicians, patients and family.
• Ability to coordinate care with LPNs and aides.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessment and identifies patient problems.
• Develops and implements a care plan.
• Evaluates patient progress and revises the plan.
• Communicates clinical information to the team.
• Manages telemetry and cardiac monitoring when applicable.
• Provides age-appropriate patient care on the unit.
