Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Madison is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and patient needs. This fulltime role operates on a night shift within the Medical Intermediate (5SW) department in Wisconsin.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required; no prior experience is necessary. BLS HCP and state RN licensure appropriate to Wisconsin are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.

Responsibilities

• Uses standards of medical-surgical nursing practice to increase the quality of care and quality of life for the patient, family, and significant other(s) by evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Establishes effective relationships and serves as an advocate with the patient, family, and significant other(s) to facilitate the care plan.
• Uses the nursing process to develop and implement the plan of care, collect assessment data, determine diagnoses, and evaluate outcomes.
• Develops assessment and management strategies based on a holistic view of patient needs.
