Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification is required for every RN unless ACLS is current.
• ACLS certification may be required depending on unit.
• BSN degree is preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others according to job description and competency.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedures.
• Develops and implements patient/family education plans.
• Collaborates with other health care providers to ensure quality care.
• Administers medications and performs treatments in accordance with policies.
• Participates in Nursing Governance activities.
• Maintains professional growth and supports staff development.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
