Job summary

Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Birthplace Unit to care for families across labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care. The role includes 12-hour night shifts on a .75 FTE schedule with every third weekend rotation.

As part of M Health Fairview, you will join a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based care and participate in lactation support. The unit features 6 L&D rooms, a level 1 nursery and access to NICU services.

Qualifications

• RN license in Minnesota.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Certification in NRP/PEARS or equivalent.
• Fetal monitoring competency required or to be achieved within orientation.
• OB/L&D experience preferred or capstone/preceptorship in L&D.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan nursing care for labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor fetal status and respond to changes.
• Educate patients and families and support lactation.
• Participate in OR circulation for obstetric cases as needed.
