Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Maplewood, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse on the Labor & Delivery Unit at St. John’s Hospital. This 0.75 FTE night-shift position integrates into a high-volume unit with 29 LDRP beds, a NICU, and 200+ deliveries monthly.

The RN leads the interdependent team, coordinates care, conducts comprehensive assessments, educates patients and families, and participates in quality improvements while meeting regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of postpartum or L&D experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minnesota RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the interdependent team to coordinate care for a group of patients.
• Apply nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Communicate with patient/family, physicians, and other disciplines.
• Develop individualized education plans for patients and families.
• Participate in quality and safety improvements and regulatory compliance.
• Support department goals for safety, quality, and patient experience.
