Job summary

You will assess patients, develop plans of care, guide care activities, mentor licensed staff, and provide teaching to patients and families. Iowa RN licensure required; BSN preferred; Magnet-certified specialties encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Iowa or qualified multistate licensure.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience in acute care preferred.
• Magnet-certified specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient needs and responses with the multidisciplinary team.
• Develop and implement patient care plans including discharge planning.
• Guide patient care activities and utilize evidence-based practice.
• Provide daily direction to Licensed Practical Nurse and Nurse Assistant.
• Facilitate teaching to meet patient/family education needs.
