Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group in Newton, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg unit (23 private rooms). The RN will plan and provide professional nursing care from admission to discharge, coordinating with multiple disciplines and the patient’s family.

Responsibilities include assessing, implementing, and evaluating care, and supervising PCTs and Support Assistants. Current Iowa RN license is required; hospital experience preferred, full-time night shift, 12 hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Current licensure as RN in Iowa required.

• Coordinate care with other disciplines and consult family or others.
