Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking a Part Time Staff Nurse for nights (7pm–7:30am), 24 hours per week. You will deliver family-centered nursing care, participate in education, and support quality and safety initiatives within a pediatric setting.

The role requires a BSN or completion within 5 years, Ohio RN licensure, and a current BLS cert. Prior pediatric or EPIC experience is advantageous; onsite duties apply in Akron, OH.

Qualifications

• BSN is required or must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
• Current license to practice as an RN in Ohio is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and directs nursing care with a family-centered focus.
• Provide care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients.
• Demonstrates leadership and professional duties.
• Performs patient-centered care and quality/safety duties.
• Participates in staff education and may precept new employees.
• Engages in evidence-based practice and informatics duties.
• Collaborates with providers to deliver high-quality pediatric care.
• May be reassigned to other Akron Children's Hospital units as needed.
• Completed tasks prioritized and executed under pressure.
