Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Boardman inpatient pediatric unit on a full-time night shift. You will assess, implement, and direct nursing care with a family-centered approach, delivering safe and education-focused care to pediatric patients.

The role requires a BSN (or progress toward it within 5 years), Ohio RN licensure, BLS, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. EPIC or similar EMR experience is preferred, with opportunities to mentor staff and participate in

Qualifications

BSN required or must be obtained within 5 years of hire.
Current Ohio RN license and BLS certification required.
Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
Ability to work 7:00pm–7:30am shift and onsite in Boardman.
Experience with EPIC or similar EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and direct nursing care with family-centered focus.
Provide care for physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across ages.
Demonstrate leadership and professional duties.
Deliver patient-centered care and participate in quality improvement.
Mentor and precept new staff as needed.
Support providers and collaborate for efficient operations and quality care.
Assist in informatics and technology duties.
Perform systems-based practice and evidence-based care.
Staff may be reassigned within Akron Children's Hospital as needed.
