Job summary

Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2AB Neuro Progressive Care Unit on a full-time night shift. The role requires assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for medically complex patients, with a rotating weekend/holiday schedule and an 18% night differential where applicable.

The unit handles telemetry, ICU, home health and medical/surgical backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• Additional certification or continuing education may be required depending on area of practice.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months is required.
• Banner Registry and Travel positions require 1 year of RN acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care according to policy.
• Implement and coordinate nursing care with the care team.
• Supervise and delegate activities to licensed and other staff.
• Document care and patient responses accurately in the chart.
• Communicate patient status and needs to the care team regularly.
• Participate in ongoing nursing quality improvement and education.
