Job summary

Mercy Medical Center seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to support patient-centered care within the unit team. You will follow Mercy's standards and procedures to safely and independently care for patients, coordinate with families, and educate them as needed.

The role requires current RN licensure in Iowa or a compact state, a BSN preferred, and BLS certification. Prior acute care experience is preferred and the job includes a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 with an on-site day-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• RN license in Iowa or a compact state.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse/Iowa Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training required.
• CNOR/CAPA/CPAN certification preferred for some departments.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clinical information at handoffs to ensure patient safety.
• Develop and implement patient care plans with the care team.
• Assess, intervene, coordinate and evaluate patient care.
• Document nursing care in real time and maintain accurate records.
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff as appropriate.
