Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
• Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers nursing care to patients with care planning and evaluation.
• Provides patient/family education and counseling on health problems.
• Supervises health care team members with patients.
• Utilizes computer systems to document, retrieve and communicate patient information.
• Maintains knowledge of documentation requirements for patient records.
• Works independently within Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Operates equipment safely and monitors alarms to maximize patient safety.
• Continues to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
