Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• An ASN/ADN RN must complete a BSN within four years of hire unless the RN has 15+ years of continuous acute care experience.
• Current RN license in the state of practice is required.
• BLS-HCP certification required on hire or within 60 days; ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Assess, recognize, and address patients' psychological and physical needs.
• Foster quality of care with the best interests of patients and their families in mind.
• Communicate compassionately and effectively with patients and families.
• Assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
• Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines.
• Oversee care delivered by LPNs and CNAs; participate in clinical team conferences.
• Follow hospital, regulatory and professional guidelines, policies and procedures.
