Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago seeks a Registered Nurse for night shifts in a Telemetry unit. The RN will deliver safe, holistic patient care using the nursing process, coordinating with physicians and staff to monitor cardiac status and test results.

The role requires current state RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and preferred BSN or RN-BC credentials; prior acute care and ventilator management experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification current at hire and maintained.
• Basic Arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the Telemetry Unit scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in patient condition including cardiac monitoring and diagnostics.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and response to treatment.
