Job summary

University of Michigan Health-West in Wyoming, MI is seeking an experienced RN to join the Observation Unit for night shifts (24 hrs per week) as a New Hire Incentive position. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, coordinating with the care team.

A BSN is preferred; Michigan RN licensure is required along with BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications as per unit guidelines. You will ensure safe patient care, accurate documentation and ongoing education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• MI RN licensure required and BLS required.
• ACLS/PALS certifications as per unit role and timelines.
• Experience in specialty areas preferred or required per unit.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and needs across physical, psychological, and social domains.
• Develop and implement a care plan with nursing diagnoses and outcomes.
• Perform nursing procedures and support physician orders.
• Document timely, concise patient information in the chart.
• Educate patients and families and uphold patient rights and safety.

Skills
