Job summary

University of Michigan Health-West is seeking an experienced RN for the Intermediate Care Nursery on the night shift. You will be accountable for a patient group, providing direct care, coordinating with the care team, and ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.

The role requires Michigan RN licensure, BLS/CPR, and preferred ACLS/PALS with timely certifications. BSN is preferred; involvement in specialty units is welcomed and supported by the organization.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; Michigan RN licensure required; BLS/CPR required.
• ACLS/PALS certifications preferred with timelines for various units.
• Experience in specialty areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and needs, plan care with nursing diagnoses and goals.
• Implement nursing plan per physician orders and standards.
• Document care accurately in patient records.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality; follow policies and procedures.
• Educate patients and families as required.
• Coordinate with health care team and supervise staff in unit.
