Job summary

Mercy Health’s St. Rita's Medical Center in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Neuro Stepdown (4A) on a full-time night shift. The role encompasses high-acuity care in a progressive unit bridging Med-Surg and ICU, with a focus on patient safety, coordination, and leadership in nursing care delivery.

We welcome new grads and experienced RNs. Education includes a BSN preferred, with RN licensure and basic life support; ACLS is required within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS or ACLS (preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months)
• Previous experience as an LPN or Patient Care Tech/CNA (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyze data, create a care plan, implement treatment and evaluate effectiveness
• Serve as point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement
• Administer medications safely per policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
