Mercy is seeking an RN for Medical Stepdown on a full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:30am). The role emphasizes using the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care, maintaining accountability, and coordinating care with other departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

Education required includes ADN, Diploma, or BSN, and licensure in the hiring state or a compact state. Basic Life Support is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
