Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Registered Charge Nurse for the Step Down Unit at St. Charles Hospital. The RN will provide care within the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, coordinate daily on-site clinical activities, supervise unit staff, and ensure patient flow and safety during night shifts.

Required: current RN license, at least 2 years in psychiatric acute care, BLS, de-escalation training within 90 days; BSN preferred. Mercy Health offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered RN license required.
• Minimum of two years' experience as RN in psychiatric acute care.
• BSN preferred but not required.
• De-Escalation Training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead nurse and coordinator of daily on-site clinical activities.
• Coordinate unit operations, scheduling, staffing and patient flow.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise unit staff.
• Act as liaison between nursing team and community partners.
• Ensure care delivery per nursing process and ANA ethics.
