Job summary

Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Medical ICU in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour night shift. The unit cares for patients with sepsis, CHF, STEMI, ARDS and more, with 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and 1:1 or 3:1 as needed.

The RN delivers care per the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies. You will assess, plan, implement and document nursing care, communicate with the team, and support patient/family education.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from school of nursing.
• Licensure: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Ohio.
• Experience: Casual RNs require 2 years of experience.
• New grads: Nurse Residency Program for those with less than one year of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care with emphasis on patient safety and quality initiatives.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care; develops a plan with patient and family.
• Communicates pertinent information to the team in a timely manner.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes.
• Assumes responsibility for care provided and documented by others.
