RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit-VIII at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. This full-time night shift role offers growth in a collaborative environment, with emphasis on safe, patient-centered care and continuous professional development.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care, coordinate with physicians, document in EPIC, and participate in rounds while supporting patient education and family communication.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate RN with NJ endorsement.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems (EPIC) and orthopedic/bariatric patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes early.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to drive seamless transitions of care.
