Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse for the MedSurg CDU to work nights (7pm–7am) on a PRN basis. You will deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to meet patient goals.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, adherence to standards, and ongoing professional development, including precepting others and participating in quality improvement initiatives, while maintaining detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or nursing diploma; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current RN license in Georgia or Multistate Compact for Georgia.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required or in process; ACLS‑I/ ACLS‑P variants acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform the nursing process with evidence-based, individualized care.
• Provide patient-centered care respecting cultural diversity.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary rounds and document care timely.
• Participate in performance improvement and shared governance initiatives.
• Mentor/precept other nurses and staff as needed.
