Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse for the MedSurg 8th floor. The RN provides patient-centered care, collaborates with the team, and ensures safe transitions with the nursing process. Two years of nursing experience, especially in acute care, are preferred.

Must hold a current TX RN license and BLS certification. This is a full-time position located at Main Hospital, 8th Floor MedSurg, with duties per the Parkland nursing practice model.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years nursing experience; acute care preferred.
• Current Texas RN license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-centered nursing care per Parkland standards.
• Performs comprehensive assessments, plans, implements, and evaluates care.
• Collaborates with the health care team to coordinate patient care.
• May serve as preceptor or Charge Nurse as needed and provide patient education.
