Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Lakeway, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the General Medical Surgical Unit. This full-time night shift (7pm–7am) with rotating weekends supports a 40-bed unit with a 5:1 patient ratio and proactive care delivery.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, care planning, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program in nursing.
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license to practice as a registered nurse.
• BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• As a RN, conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.
• Create, implement, and evaluate care plans; adjust plans to reach outcomes.
• Educate patients and families; empower them with healthcare knowledge.
• Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly with the team.
• Work with colleagues to ensure safety, effectiveness and efficiency in care delivery.
