Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lakeway, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the General Medical Surgical Unit, Cardiac, Pulmonology, GI and other services. You will work the night shift (7pm-7am) with self-scheduling and rotating weekends in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes patient care across a broad range of medical problems with opportunities for growth, certifications, and ongoing education within a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in Texas.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and create, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Build relationships and manage patient comfort with professionalism.
• Create care plans reflecting patient values and needs.
• Educate patients, families, nurses and community members to empower better healthcare choices.
• Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly with the team.
• Apply problem-solving strategies with patients, families and staff.
