Job summary

MercyOne Centerville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for 8‑hour evening/night rotations, including every other weekend. You will assess patients, implement plans, and coordinate with a care team to ensure safety and quality.

Expect to supervise care activities, apply nursing processes, and uphold Mercy Mission values in a rural community setting. Current Iowa RN license and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in State of Iowa.
• Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers (AHA).
• Dependent Adult mandatory reporter training; renew every 5 years.
• Education requirements needed for license renewal.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and monitor conditions.
• Communicate changes in resident status to the health care team.
• Follow universal infection control precautions and standards.
• Use mechanical devices for safe movement and transfer of residents.
• Lead and support others in applying the nursing process.
