Job summary

SnapCare in Temple, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts on our critical illness and rehabilitation unit. You will deliver direct patient care using the nursing process and develop care plans.

The role includes supervising LPNs and CNAs, completing assessments within 8 hours of admission, and participating in discharge planning and patient teaching. BLS and ACLS required before first shift; minimum two years bedside experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years bedside clinical experience.
• BLS certification prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification prior to first shift (CIRH only)

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during night shifts in a critical illness and rehabilitation setting.
• Maintain delivery of quality care by ensuring nursing care plans are followed.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.
• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessment data.
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation program on assigned unit.
• Initiate discharge planning from day of admission and provide patient teaching.
• Communicate patient status changes to care providers, attending physicians, and Charge Nurse.
• Assume charge responsibility following orientation period as requested.
• Delegate appropriately and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel.
